The power is in your hands

If you are concerned about flights that are low, off track or too noisy you should complain to the airport.  See instructions here.   It is straight forward once you’ve got used to it once.  The airport also receives complaints via email and letter.

Attend meetings at the council offices.  Three or four times a year the council sub-committee responsible for the airport, discusses progress on matters relating to the airport.  These are short meetings but the council can gauge the passion of the subject matter based on number of attendees.  We always post dates of the next meeting to our distribution list and in the Newsletters on this web-site.  This is critical

Write (email) to your local councillor.  They do read the mail.  If they aren’t aware of people’s concerns they don’t know which issues to prioritise . Council members can be found here.

Discuss with your Residents Association.  Encourage them to get representation on the Biggin Hill Airport Consultative Committee or its sub committee the ARNAF, where issues of concern are discussed.
